why would you assume a Christmas story? Dr. Who is under new management, and I don't think Moffat will continue with the Christmas story's.

it does say ASSUMING THERE IS! it its up the the BBC, not the DW team, but its been a popular feature of xmas day for the past few years, so lets see eh :) they could always not bother and make xmas day tv not worth watching again, i tend to have cable channels on generally, not the bbc )

Wow how many past monsters are going to be coming back next season?
We have Daleks, Weeping Angels and Silurians. The vampires of Venice must assumedly involve either space Vampires or Haemovores (I can't imagine Moffat doing another Vampire explanation story) and assumedly the finale will contain something big. we also had that earlier rumour around that the Zygons would be back, so maybe thats them?

Also I am so glad that most of the old writing crew are still around. I was so worried the entire list would be random sitcom writers but we still have Chibnall, Gatiss and Whithouse. Fingers crossed for Greenhorn and Cornell, and no Simon Nye!

I'm sorry, but I find most of this very hard to believe.

I'm not convinced those photos we saw were of silurians, I'm certain it's a new monster. I thought the titles Flesh and Blood and Time of Angles were just rumours and I thought the River Song episode was about the crash of the Byzantium. Even if it's true there are the angels, I think Moffat is doing a mistake bringing them back.

We can be pretty sure of the Gattis/Daleks/Churchil episode because there are lots of reports on that and Curtis has confirmed he has written an episode with Van Gogh. But I'm wary of the rest...(also on the account of Moffat saying he didn't want old monsters to return).

the crash of Byzantium is where River Song first met the doctor, we already know they are in it. no evidence of angels though :)

i do have to say that this "new" doctor looks like he will be bringing the ratings down, and also he looks a bit emo and i don't like him so far.......

In his moment, Peter Davidson has the same problem taking the place of Tom Baker. And he was good!

Give Matt Smith a chance, he deserve it ;)

i will, but i don't like his hair. i will most likely come to like him, but David Tennant will always be my favorite...

That is good! Is good have a favorite. That means what the show match our tastes.

That is the good thing about Doctor Who: there is one who (no pun intended) oneself will like!

Combom: "Crash of the Byzantium" isn't where River first meets the Doctor, it's simply one of her earlier diary entries; she had several entries before that, such as when she and the Doctor have a picnic in Asgard.

Red Moose: The Weeping Angels being in the "Byzantium" episode is brilliant, and leaves open several possible plot developments. They made for a wonderful story in "Blink", and as it's been three years since we last saw them, enough time has passed for viewers that the Angels will be scary again (especially for the kids).

I am very much looking forward to the new series, and seeing how the Doctor and River's relationship flows, as each encounter is out of temporal sync with all the others...
