The old Silurians looked less human...If old monsters are coming back I would prefer that there was a link to the species we've previously seen...for example the upgraded Sontarans I thought were excellent.
Dennis, what if the one in the picture youshow is the crossbreed one, and the one with the big eyes is the "pure"?
Anyway, i'm with Newelectricmuse. But a idea come to my mind:
If the Silurians have ethnic diffrences, like the humans. I mean, a european man,, and anothe rone fromm... Japan, for example. Maybe the differences are bigger in the Silurians.
Oh, and i hope the story is really, really good. The Silurians are one of my 3 favourites whovians races with the Sontarans and the Ice Warriors. I really hope the story is good!
The new Siluruans are way more humanoid looking then the ones from the 70's. They were so creepy!! I took a look Dennis picture he left could the other be a Sea Devil? As I was Dr. Who surfing today I found This guy Tim doing a video sharing is who fandom
it is my guess, that these are probably more highly evolved Silurians, or maybe a different species entirely, since the term silurian is only what the Doctor calls them, not the actual species name, so could they be a different species from the same time period, making them both silurian and something entirely different at the same time? Also, I dont remember the Silurians wearing clothes...
I reckon the non-human looking one on the left is a robot/android etc As for the prosthetics - cracking make-up job, Gromit! Though they still remind me of the Aquaphibians from Stingray...!

Maybe the humanish Silurian is a half Silurian-half Master lovechild?

I think the "human-looking" Silurian looks that way because she is female - we've never seen female Silurians before (as far as we know)
