Classic Doctor Who In A Classic Radio Times (19-12-1974)

Here is the Doctor Who page from Saturday 19th December 1974, of the Radio Times. You can see what was on before and after Doctor Who!

An afternoons sport with
Grandstand is followed by The Shari Lewis Show, complete with the hand-knitted Lamb Chop character (you try making a TV series based on this today!), then its the News and Dr Who.
At 6pm is a compilation edition of
Bruce Forsyth and The Generation Game, followed by by a classic Norman Wisdon Movie, On The Beat.

BBC2 has the usual old movie in black and white, followed by Play Away, which was the only childrens offering on a Saturday then (I quite liked the show in those days), followed by News, sport and a Geroge Gershwin tribute!

The Doctor Who episode was part 1 of Robot, more about it here.

This time a huge
thanx to Mark Breen for supplying the page (his blog is here). Lots more to come in this occasional series (there isprobably about 85 more pages in the archive now). If you can help with classic Doctor Who in the Radio Times, like this one, any classic who year, please let me know!

If you
repost this, please remember to include Marks name and my URL, although I'd rather you linked me instead. Thanx.

There are more of the same,
here.
