The Apollo capsule on the launch pad seems to be new (clip-wise) as well. I'm sure the blue baddy wants some revenge for getting cheated out of one vortex manipulator from last season. Perhaps that's where we catch up with River in the beginning episode?

Actually, in River's timeline, these events should occur first, so this might be River's first meeting with the guy. :)
