Four New Doctor Who Podcasts Today

Today there are 4 new podcasts;

The TARDIS Tavern Episode 43: An Evening with Bonnie Langford
We know her as the star of such Doctor Who gems as "Time and the Rani" and "Dragonfire," but the one question on every fans mind is, Just who is Bonnie Langford? Few remember her premiere on the Dancing on Ice show, or its follow-up, Champion of Champions. And who could forget her on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and The Weakest Link. And we all remember Noel Coward's controversial remark on her performance as a young actress during a play in which a horse defacted on stage: "If they had shoved the child's head up the horse's arse they would have solved two problems at once.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #70
In this episode we look at a side of Doctor Who that isn't discussed very much - the partners of devoted Doctor Who fans. Whilst we are all away at conventions, producing podcasts, watching DVDs, knitting scarfs and submitting scripts, just what do our partners do and what do they think of our obsession? We bring in opinions from all over the globe, courtesy of podcasting friends.

Two-minute Time Lord Two-minute Technomage for April 1, 1996: "Severed Dreams"
We waited almost two months for PTEN to release the tenth episode of season 3, "Severed Dreams," and it was worth it! Tune in to hear my reactions to the landmark, gotta-win-an-award, science fiction classic of April 1, 1996. Babylon 5 has never been better!

The Minute Doctor Who Podcast 052 - Thanks, Mister Postman
A canister of film popped through my letter box this morning, so I though I'd share it with you.

As always, thanx to the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance.

Ee Bah Gum Explained Doctor Who

In the series 6 trailer, here, the Doctor says, Ee Bah Gum, some non-English readers seem a little confused by this, so to dispel confusion;

Ee, bah gum is generally said in the county of Yorkshire, UK, and is referred to as a Minced Oath, that means its a way of swearing in front of the children, granny and vicar without a problem :)

It means Oh By God.

So... A Yorkshiremans dog dies, it was his favourite so he decides to have a gold statue of the dog made by a jeweller...

Yorkshireman: Can tha mek us a gold statue of yon dog?
Jeweller: Do you want it 18 carat?
Yorkshireman: No I want it chewin' a bone, yer daft begger!
Jeweller: Ee, bah gum!

Now I'm sure some will say this is wrong, but I am married to someone from that part of the world remember :)

An example of the Yorkshire accent, although I have heard it a lot broader then this, (thanx Mister Chinn), this was a hit single in 1981...

''Torchwood: Miracle Day'' Composer — Murray Gold Announces Return to Doctor Who Spin-Off

This news comes directly from the official Torchwood Twitter account, so it's certainly legitimate. While the first two series were composed by both Ben Foster and Murray Gold, Children of Earth had only Foster; now it seems that Miracle Day will lack the other man in this team.
The 'Doctor Who' veteran Murray Gold will be composing Torchwood: Miracle Day. BRILLIANT.

Another Doctor Who BBC America Alternate Trailer for Series 6

The quality of these videos is improving steadily, but BBC America has yet to release its full trailers for international viewing.

Meanwhile, we've got the latest version of the BBC trailer.

Doctor Who's David Tennant and Georgia Moffett Are Parents to Healthy Baby Girl

Make room for baby.
In all likelihood this will not be news to anyone, but we felt the need to follow up on our original speculation about Tennant and Moffett's child. Now it's been confirmed, so we can officially congratulate the happy couple on the birth of their healthy baby girl.
'Georgia and David could not be happier, Olivia is beautiful and their families are over the moon. They did very well in keeping everything very nearly private and keeping things under wraps. Georgia was a lot more pregnant than people thought when the news first broke.'
Georgia Moffett, the Fifth Doctor's daughter, already has a son named Ty, whom she had when she was only seventeen. The 26-year-old actress played the Doctor's daughter in "The Doctor's Daughter", and it was on that set where she met Tennant.

Of course, David is eager to start his brand new life with his four-person family. Last year, before his engagement to Georgia, he said . . .
'[Having a child] feels an important thing to do and I’d hate to miss out on it. I’m only 38 but my parents had had three kids by this age and I have had none yet.'
His beloved mother Helen McDonald died of cancer in 2007 and he said: ‘My mum’s gone now but I feel very fortunate to have had the upbringing that I had and to have had the family around me that I’ve had.'
And, no, the Doctor's granddaughter isn't named Susan; instead David and Georgia decided on Olivia. No word yet on whose last name the child takes, but the parents have already resolved to call her Olive as a nickname.

We Escape The Evil Clutches of the Daleks

We have escaped unharmed!

Fortunatly 10th Planet was familiar with wavelength diffraction gratings and unformatted the recollection net, allowing PCJonathan to revert the subspace flow by transferring negative-power to the lithium cupride recollection current. Meanwhile Doctor11 adjusted the linear positron matrix by channeling all available resources, anti-formatting the deflector by pulsating the gravametric orbital oscillator.

At this stage I ordered another Guinness, surprisingly Daleks have a free bar for their prisoners, who would have thought it? Eventually the multi-conduit was fooled into pingflooding the graviton expiry, causing it to reverse the polarity on the neutron flow and the saucership imploded. Phew!

Fortunatly we stole a shuttle and came home, normality is restored! The original post is here.

Roger Delgado Found Alive And Well Doctor Who

In shock revelations today, a fat bloke, previously living on the streets in Turkey, has claimed he is non-other than Roger Delgado (see picture).

Roger (or Colin as he is referred to by his friends) says he is ready to return to the BBC and resume his career in Doctor Who as fiendishly evil Widow Twanky The Master.

Steven Moffat remains unconvinced.

Based on an idea by 10th Planet.

It's a Message . . . a Message for the Human Race

Colin Baker in Hadron Collider Accident

While visiting Geneva, Switzerland earlier today, Colin Baker fell into the world-famous Hadron Collider, disappearing for 10 seconds, only to reappear having gained another 3 stone, has less hair and aged 10 years (see picture).

Authorities have given Colin a bell to ring, to warn people he is approaching, giving parents time to avert their childrens gaze. Milton Keynes have already declared themselves a "Colin Free Zone", 27 other councils are expected to follow suit by the end of the day.

When asked for a comment, Colin muttered something about reversing the polarity, and requested more cake. More Colin news as it happens.
