Nine New Doctor Who Podcasts Today

9 new podcasts today;

Radio Free Skaro #265 - Snakes and Ladders
More Torchwood (it's still good!) and more stats (they're still numbers!) and more news and a whole lot of blathering about Christopher Bailey's Snakedance populate this episode of Radio Free Skaro as the Summer Classic Commentary series continues! The lads take a turn at fashion advice as the return of The Mara is talked over and as ever walk the line of decency as the notion of men in dresses gets a thorough investigation.

Fast Return Switch episode 7b: ‘The Three Doctors’ part two
The thrilling conclusion to our two part epicast is here! Will Woaf get his Gel Guards out again? Will Weston reference the 80’s for no reason? Will Fanton needlessly offend anyone else? Find out the answers in the next thrilling instalment of… Fast Return Switch! Dun Dun Duhhhhhh.

Doctor Who - Who's He? #18 You'll be down on your knees
In a rather argumentative episode, Paul & Phil give their opinions on episode 3 of Torchwood Miracle Day. Will Phil be happier than he was last week or is it Paul's turn to turn to the dark side? Does the world care? Anyway, they ramble on as normal and Phil makes a rather crass comment about him not having his teeth in. If a podcast could blush, it would be this one.

Doctor Who Cast 14: Doctor Who Quotes
Hola Whovians! This week on Doctor Whocast we prove that the pen truly is mightier than the sword with a show devoted to the marvelous quotes of "Doctor Who." Bobby, Brian, BJ and Nancy read some listener emails while interrupting each other with YOUR favorite quips and speeches from everyone's favorite time lord. It's a linguistic good time this week on Doctor Whocast, the only podcast that also travels in time!

Two-minute Time Lord 225: Defending Torchwood's First Season and Reviewing "Escape to L.A." (Time Dilation)
(Torchwood being Torchwood, and Jack Harkness being Jack Harkness, this podcast is slightly more explicit than usual.) Archivist and Chicks Dig Time Lords co-editor Lynne Thomas joins me as we discuss the merits of the frequently-derided first season of Torchwood — thus bucking the conventional wisdom that it only "got good" with Children of Earth. Lynne contributed her essay on the subject, "Camp Noir," to Graeme Burk and Robert Smith?'s anthology Time Unincorporated 3.

Doctor Who: Adventures in Time, Space and Music Episode 27 – Series 21, Part I – Revelations of Roger Limb’s Androzani – Part I – The UNIT Files
In this episode we’ll be looking at the music of Roger Limb focusing on his work on Serial 6R- Story 135 - The Caves of Androzani. This discussion with the Doctor Who Podcast co-host Trevor Gensch, the Minute Doctor Who Podcast host Luke Harrison and Radio Free Skaro co-host Steven Schapansky was recorded on the 21st of June, 2011. The Raggedy Podcast Episode 016: Battlefield/CitL #3
In this episode we discuss the season 26 episode "Battlefield". Then in the Chatter in the Library segment of the show, we discuss the Fifth Doctor audio "Spare Parts", and the Virgin New Adventures novel "Transit" by Ben Aaronovitch.

Pharos Project 61: Pants Thing on the Ceiling
Now this is a strange one. A projecteer has injured themselves (in the most pathetic way possible) and this seems to have triggered an outbreak of off topic rambles. Nevertheless, we just about cover news, 10 minute Torchwood and "The Long Game'.

Doctor Who: Mostly Harmless Cutaway #47 Dead of Night 4.3
Outside the government. Beyond the police. In today's Cutaway Eric, Josh, Cat, and Julian delve into the not so latest ep of Torchwood Dead of Night. We also get into some #SDCC coverage as well as some Doctor Who s6p2 teaser/speculation talk.
Great thanks to Julian (@LB_Tosche) for getting his timepiece in order and joining us at the correct time this time. It's about time.

As always, thanx to the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance.

Doctor Who Will Push Towards The Anthology Model

Showrunner Steven Moffat has hinted that Doctor Who will eventually return to featuring more stand-alone episodes, rather than the current focus on long-term story arcs.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Moffat commented Tradition is the enemy of suspense. It's the enemy of comedy. It's the enemy of everything... It will always push back towards the anthology model. We've just amped it up to see what would happen.

Personally I like the story arcs and will be sorry to see them go :(
