MegaUpload Taken down By US Government in Retaliation to STOP SOPA

At the end of a 2 year investigation, and in retaliation to Wednesdays STOP SOPA protests, the feds have raided and closed MegaUpload. The site's founders have been charged with violating piracy laws.

Federal prosecutors have accused it of costing copyright holders more than £320m (US$500m) in lost revenue. The firm says it was diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material.

In direct response, the group Anonymous have taken RIAA's site down, MPAA's site down, department of Justice site down, and Universal music site down, with DdoS attacks, if its not over, you can keep up with the action on twitter; #OpPayback #OpMegaupload #SOPA #PIPA.

The new Megaupload link is apparently not safe. I've heard its part of this attack.
