Simm zaps rumor he's returning as The Master...

...unless it's part of a plot to keep his return a secret! Simm tweeted his denial on Monday in response to his name being added to the cast list of the show's series seven on IMDB.com.
In reply to many, regardless of what it says on imdb, No i'm not returning to Dr Who. Got absolutely no plans to do so
This follows of course speculation of other rumored possible casting for The Master such as Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch which Matt Smith dismissed in February. It would however seem like a no-brainer that The Master would return in the person of someone next year for the big 50th Anniversary, but who will wield the Laser Screwdriver or the Tissue Compression thingy probably remains known only to Steven Moffat for now.

The Master's exit in End of Time seemed very final to me, so I hope he stays out of the show for another series of two. But this is Moffat writing, so...

I don't consider it a no-brainer that the master will show up during the 50th anniversary. It is tempting. However, there are a large number of foes of the doctor that fit the bill just as much. And this does not exclude him from the 50th anniversary either:  there is a full season to happen before they start production on that. I don't think they are busy gathering actors yet.
