Matt Smith to carry 2012 Olympic torch on Saturday

It has been announced (note, not confirmed though that should happen tomorrow) on the official Doctor Who twitter that Matt Smith will carry the torch this Saturday.

Matt Smith has also added a comment to the announcement:

 “To carry the Torch is an honour, one I thought I'd never get, I'm very excited!”
