Possible Doctor Who Air Date?

Yesterday BBC America showed a quick trailer(The one we all have seen by now). The only thing different? The screen cap above. Instead of ending in its normal “New Season: Coming This Fall” it ended in Saturday September 8th(A week off of the rumoured September 1st date).

The problem comes after this, it seems BBCA pulled the trailer with this special ending and has yet to air it again. So was it a mistake, on the air date, or the fact that they weren't supposed to air it at all and jumped the gun.(My bet is this one).

But maybe it could be both the 1st and the 8th, they could be going back to BBCA getting a later air date then normal, unlike last series that aired on the same day. Who knows (Pun intended again).

Hopefully we will have the trailer up soon for you, and it stays up. As always more information will be posted as we get it.

Just peeked at the BBC America schedule on their site and they are showing Series 6 all day on Sept 1st -- with no sign of the premiere of seven. At least, that's as of now. The schedule does not go to the 8th ....

I bet BBC wanted it on the 1st but BBCAMERICA didn't want it that weekend as there is a history of not showing a premiere or any new show on a holiday weekend when people are vacationing and not at home. So what to do? Have both delay to the 8th or have BBCAMERICA be a week behind which would crush ratings as all Who fans would easily find alternative means to watch the show.

A good option is show series 6 all day the 1st and then show the Premiere at 8:00 same day as the BBC. Then the following week repeat the premiere at 7:00 and then get on with episode 2 after that. They would be better served doing that than wait a week. That would cater to the hardcore fans and casual fans have 2 chances to watch it and not lose continuity.----Darryl Christensen
