Alex Kingston guest stars in NCIS in November as a new character, Miranda Pennebaker, vital to Gibbs and the team, TVLine has revealed.

Pennebaker is "a women of questionable morals" NCIS Co-Executive Gary Glasberg explains.
He goes on to say that she "deals in everything from high end weapons sales to priceless gems. Her connections go all the way up the ladder of D.C. politics, and Gibbs needs her for this very disturbing, emotional case.”

We know that a character, and an actress, is brilliant when they are already considering bringing her back!

In fact, Kingston’s character proves so valuable, she is already being eyed for an encore. ” I’m a huge fan of Alex and she embodies everything I hoped for from this character,” says Glasberg. “Heck, you might even see her again.”

It's just a shame that Kingston isn't a redhead, as she could have been Gibbs's 5th wife. Could this be an excuse for Karen Gillan to come onto the show? (Though the age difference is a bit much!)

NCIS  airs Tuesday at 8/7c on CBS. Hopefully, we'll have an exact date closer to the time of airing, but the series is worth watching regardless.
