BFI Screening Reminder - Remembrance of the Daleks

We've discussed the BFI screenings before, but Ben Aaronovitch would like to remind you all that they're screening his first Doctor Who story "Remembrance of the Daleks" 27th July. Southbank, two o'clock: further details here. Pity it's already been sold out, but you can always hope for a cancellation or two.
"Remembrance of the Daleks" was the opening story for Season 25, and features Dalek civil war, Coal Hill School, UNIT's predecessors, a cameo for British Rocket Group, and a classic Sylvester McCoy - Terry Molloy showdown. Also bacon sandwiches. It's one of the best Seventh Doctor/Doctor Who in general/Dalek stories of all time, and is well worth the viewing even if you can't make it to the BFI event.

Aaronovitch is also doing a readers' conference 22nd June, in Winchester. The day-long event includes author talks, book signing, and lunch and tea included in the cover price of 35 pounds. You can read more about that at the "newbooks" website here, so if you have that shiny new rerelease of the Remembrance novelisation and want it signed by the author, there's your chance...though he'll probably be talking about his new urban fantasy series, "Rivers of London". Which is, bye the bye, a lovely series full of sparkling prose and fantastic ideas that you can investigate on Aaronovitch's other website here.

Update: the special guests for the event will be Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Ben Aaronovitch, Dick Mills, and Mike Tucker, in a Q&A panel. Source
