Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Boxset Confirmed

Doctor Who Magazine have confirmed there will be a limited edition 50th Anniversary DVD/Blu-Ray boxset released in September.

There will only be 6000 Blu-rays units and 4000 DVDs units available and features the "Of the Doctor" set of episodes, as well as the much awaited An Adventure in Space and Time and The Fiveish Doctors Reboot on Blu-ray. More bonus material is also added. Here's a full list of what it contains:

  • The Day of the Doctor
  • The Time of the Doctor
  • An Adventure in Space & Time
  • The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot
  • Doctor Who: The Ultimate Guide
  • The Science of Doctor Who
  • Doctor Who Proms 2013
  • The Last Day
  • The Day of the Doctor Readthrough
  • The Day of the Doctor Cinema Intros
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Behind the Scenes action
  • BBC America Documentary: Tales from the Tardis
  • BBC America Documentary: Farewell to Matt Smith
The boxset is due for release September 8th.

Update: Preorders are live. DVD costs £28.99, while Blu-ray costs £31.99.

Wonder if the Proms are the FULL Proms, not the edited version. Won't get my hopes though, neither to get this set, will be too expensive for me.

PCJ, you might want to edit your post, as the second paragraph makes it sound like the box set will have 6000 blurays in it, and at first I thought maybe they were finally releasing a box set of the entire existing 50 Years. :P

It should say something like 'it's a limited run of 6000 blurays...'
