Mud, Mud, not so glorious mud...
Today I took a friend to fetch some glass for his greenhouse, we where given poor directions, fortunately the local postman put us right! We arrived, I turned the car, the turning area, which looked dark and stony, ended up being wet and swampy, we sank 6" AAAAAAaaaaaaaagghhhhh! No worries, being the countryside everyone had a 4x4, Right? - Right! BUT NOBODY HAD A TOWBAR AAAAAaaaaaaaagghhhhh!
After several feeble attempts, creating little more than a mess, we gave up and I figured I'd phone the RAC (yes, they will help with this!). After standing an hour in the pouring rain the RAC van arrived and towed us out. The RAC driver seemed amused there was a burning smell from his clutch! I suggested he phoned the RAC, I told him what a decent bloke the guy who helped me was!
Thats the second time this has happened to me in two months, I'm going to buy a bulldozer!
