In the Forest of the Night premieres in:
Not the most flattering picture of him, poor guy. He does look better than that.
the weird look works!
Oh certainly! It worked very well for Tom Baker with those big ol' googly eyes of his and the mile-wide, toothy grin.
a hint of not quite being human :)
Be interesting to see what his "Look" will be. Long coat, short coat, no coat, dark colors, bright colors....I like the fact in this picture he don't look 26 he looks like he has lived. Maybe it comes from the football he played, I also think the broad nose helps with the lived look. Now the hair on the other hand, but it would be better than the David "Spiked Hair" Tennet look, even though David was and is an awesone Doctor.
he looks older than 26, that is good, easily pass for mid 30s :)
now start the next 2 rumor mills.. Who will be his companion and how and why will the Doctor regenerate.. hahaha another year of rumors...
The rumors.. a lortt of fun for us, the fans. And about his look, this shoot makes him look like a scary being. a veru scary being who is better not make him angry.
I was think about something similar to what Micheal said. Unless Tennet's Doctor picks up a companion in the specials, when Series 5 starts we could have a new Doctor and new companion. That would be only the third time that has happened in the whole series.
s5e1 will be a whole new show :)
The one advantage I saw in casting Matt Smith is that now the Doctor will have an even harder time in convincing people that their lives are in danger. "What do you know? You're just a kid!"Now that Paterson Joseph has been freed up from consideration as the new Doctor, how about we start churning up the rumor mill campaign to get him on the show as the next incarnation of the Master! My new mantra: "Trust in Moffat"
"In Moffat We Trust"
At first I disliked the fact that he was the Doctor but after seeing the promo pictures he has really grown on me. His hair looks similiar to Tennant's and is perfect for the Doctor. And he looks good for the role.
Also I think he will be good because he is not yet a household name and he will be after his role as the Doctor. With Moffett expertise he is sure to make him a good Doctor and wouldn't have made the choice if he did not believe he was. I believe in Moffett! Although, saying this I do not think he will be good against John Simm's Master because of the Age difference and would be better against the Dalek's. Tennant was the perfect match for Simm because they were the same age and so if they want to pitch the Master against this Doctor they should cast a similiar-aged Actor to play the Master.
he does look older then he is though, and its how he behaves too :)
