Last year they had talk like a Dalek Day in November, for the first ever event, and lots of folks joined in wherever they were in the world. As a group they voted for April 3rd for the annual event as this is the birthday of Peter Hawkins, the first ever voice of the Daleks, so it was considered a fitting tribute!

They have set up the event for April 3rd 2009 - feel free to lend your support. You can do whatever you like, wherever you are - you might want to give your little boy his breakfast whilst talking like a Dalek, or you might want to go further and ask for your bus fare in just the right voice! Or if you just feel like talking to yourself all day like a Dalek, then thats good too. Just feel free to join in in spirit and celebrate the greatest characters in Dr Who history! And most of all - just remember it's about having fun and enjoying yourself, even if it's just for five minutes :)
