Usually when "audio" and "companion" are in the same sentence, a Whovian will think immediately about Mel, probably hoping that the first gets turned down—and the second one be put to mute? But audio production company Big Finish has yet to reveal the Eighth Doctor's next companion.
They've been teasing us with vague mentions about the unknown TARDIS traveler who will soon be roaming the universe with Paul McGann.
"In studio: The Eighth Doctor and companion have just landed on 21st Century Earth"
"Sitting here with the Eighth Doctor's new companion. And she's brilliant..."
Knowing that Tom Baker will participate in audios next year, Big Finish cheekily informed everyone about the following:
"The Fourth Doctor Adventures - scripts for episodes 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 are now in."
Back in the TARDIS at last! And finally Big Finish pointed out that new casting is underway.
"Casting underway for recording of a Lost Story with the lovely Colin [Baker] & Nicola [Bryant] in 2 weeks time... All Series 3 titles revealed next month"
