Steven Moffat Hints at a Brilliant Performance from Matt Smith in Doctor Who Series 6

Who could expect anything more from him? Entering his second year as the Doctor, Matt Smith is expected to further perfect his performance, something Steven Moffat has affirmed on Twitter.

Ellardent tweeted this compliment:
"The odd thing about the [Red Nose Day] Dr Who is that Matt Smith's performance is *still* surprising me. Constantly finding him alien and fascinating."
. . . To which Moffat only recently replied:
"@ellardent You wait. Seriously."
No jokes. No humour. No prestidigitation with words. Just a statement, simple and honest. Straightforward: Matt Smith is going to be brilliant. At least we have Steven Moffat to ensure this all goes to plan.

As Smith said in this recent interview . . .
"I guess [I'll] get another one out the way, see what everyone thinks of that. I love doing it, I don’t want to give it up anytime soon, put it that way.
"Before [the news of Tennant's replacement] came out, I didn’t know if people were going to hurl tomatoes at me. I had no idea. But then I suppose every actor goes through that period of, ‘Like me! Like me!’ That’s part of being an artist, I think."
It seems we'll be enjoying more improvement from Matt for a while yet. In other Moffat Twitter news, here's a brief selection of a few tweets.

Dtgreen asked:
"Are we going to learn about River's history before or after the mid-season cliffhanger?"
Moffat answered:
"Yes."
On an unrelated (Or is it?) topic, Cybermenblog wondered:
"BTW what was Amy's question?, she seemed quite serious"
And Moffat replied:
That WILL come back. But not for a while. Oh, how ANNOYING!!
After all this back-and-forth, keep following all the latest Moffat ramblings at @steven_moffat, not "Stephen Moffat", as The Guardian apparently believes.
