David Tennant's "Much Ado About Nothing" Recorded

This week Digital Theatre recorded Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, which stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate. No release date has been announced yet.

David Tennant on Twitter reports:
There were small static high definition cameras on either side of the stage for most performances of this week so it will be intereting to see how they edit it as David missed the performances on Monday and Tuesday due to having lost his voice. The production also uses three different actors for the character Boy. . . .
Productions are offered in Standard Definition, Streaming Video On Demand and High Definition and typically sell for about £8.99.
Digital Theatre describes their productions as:
". . . working in partnership with Britain`s leading theatre companies, including the Almeida Theatre, English Touring Theatre, the Royal Court, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Young Vic, to capture live performance authentically onscreen. We use multiple camera angles and high-definition technology to bring you closer to the drama and emotion of each production.
"With these methods we are creating a library of diverse and acclaimed productions from some of the finest theatre talent around. Although featuring a range of productions, ensuring there's something to suit everyone, the plays all share the highest standards of performance and production."
Rumours are floating around about this, and Digital Theatre suggests that people interested in this project join their mailing list.

Meanwhile, today will be Tennant's final two performances in this role. The penultimate performance is happening now.

Thanks to Emilie for the heads-up.
