Overnight viewing figures for Asylum Of The Daleks show that the episode achieved 6.4 million viewers with a 29.3% share of the total audience.

The audience was steady throughout the 50 minutes and 2.5 million viewers were inherited from Total Wipeout.

Unsurprisingly, Doctor Who won the timeslot beating Red Or Black?. The X Factor won the day with 8.6 million and a 36.8% share of the audience, which makes Doctor Who second in the charts for Saturday 1st September.

With one day to come, Doctor Who is currently 10th for the week.
