Doctor Who A Town Called Mercy - Overnight Viewing Figures

Overnight viewing figures for A Town Called Mercy show the episode achieved 6.6 million viewers with a 29.1% share of the total TV Audience.

Doctor Who was second for the day on BBC One with Strictly Come Dancing attracting 8.0 million viewers and was third on all channels with the night topped by The X Factor on ITV1 with 8.6 million.

The Third story of last years autumn run, The Girl Who Waited, had a viewing figure of 6.0 million as well as a lower audience share.

These ratings put Doctor Who 14th for the week with Sunday's ratings still to come. The final consolidated figures will be available next week.

Asylum of the Daleks - 6.4 million (overnight) 8.3 million (final figure)
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship -  5.5 million (overnight) TBA (final figure)
A Town Called Mercy - 6.6 million (overnight) TBA (final figure)

The above figures do not include BBC iPlayer viewings which would, in some cases, add a rise of 1 million.
