The title for the opening episode of Series 7 of the new series has been confirmed as  'Asylum of the Daleks' after being leaked last month.

BFI revealed the news, as a screening of the episodes, along with a Question and answer session, will be held there on the 14th of August with tickets going on sale to the public on 10th July 2012.

This gives a heavy indication that Doctor Who will return in late August, this year. as well as the BFI screening, it was announced last month the Guardian 2012 Edinburgh International Television Festival will host another screening of the first episode on the days Thursday 23 - Saturday 25th August 2012.

So Doctor Who could possibly return on Saturday 25th August 2012, which falls on a bank Holiday weekend, or on the 1st of September.
